Cookie Notice

Short version: this website sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and loads no third-party scripts. That is why you see no cookie banner.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. They can be useful — keeping you signed in, remembering a preference — but they are also the usual way visitors are tracked across the web. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and tracking pixels.

2. What this website uses

When you browse www.wttafrica.com as a visitor, we set no cookies at all. We use no local storage or session storage, and no tracking pixels.

The single cookie this site can set is used only by our own staff administration area, which is not part of the public website:

NamePurposeTypeDuration
admin_sessionKeeps Wanderlust staff signed in to the subscriber administration area after they enter the password. Strictly necessary; set only after a successful login.First-party, HTTP-only7 days

Because it is strictly necessary for a service the user has explicitly requested — signing in — it does not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive.

3. What this website does not do

  • No Google Analytics or any other analytics or measurement service.
  • No advertising, remarketing or conversion-tracking tags.
  • No Facebook, Instagram or other social-media pixels — our social links are plain links.
  • No embedded third-party fonts — typefaces are served from our own server.
  • No content delivery networks, chat widgets or A/B testing tools.
  • No cross-site profiling, and no sale of any data.

The WhatsApp button on this site is an ordinary link. Nothing is loaded from WhatsApp unless you click it — at which point WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy apply.

4. Server logs

Separately from cookies, our web server records standard request logs, which we use to keep the site secure and to diagnose faults. This is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so will not affect your experience of this website, since the public pages set none. It would only prevent our own staff from staying signed in to the administration area.

6. Changes to this notice

If we ever add a service that sets cookies — for example website analytics — we will update this notice and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first through a cookie banner. Questions are welcome at carmen@wttafrica.com.
